Simon J.D. Campbell

Simon has over 30 years of E&P experience. He was educated as a geologist (graduated from University of Bergen in 1985) and has worked extensively within the G&G domain primarily as an exploration geologist with a proven track record in prospect generation and assessment.

He has played an instrumental role in the assessment and documentation of numerous licensing rounds as wells as Licensing work, as a Management and Technical Committee Member.

He is a diligent worker, highly motivated, willing to both learn and mentor others. Combined with his sound technical understanding he has also gained a very wide experience of all aspects of the Exploration and Production business including planning, economics and commercial assessment, business intelligence analysis, new venture and business development assessment, budgeting, reporting, leadership and mentoring.

He has worked for both Super Majors, Mid cap and small independent E&P companies. Throughout his career Simon has been held a variety of roles and responsibilities and has a sound understanding of processes and requirement throughout the E&P value chain. Simon has worked primarily on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, although also has international experience (UK, Ireland, Denmark, Oman, North Africa and Indonesia).
